Entering a comfortable and dignified accommodation and finally being able to say "welcome home": this was possible this morning for 10 needy families in Florence.
In fact, this morning Menarini and the Municipality of Florence handed over the keys to 10 renovated houses to as many families included in the Municipality's social rankings. The delivery to District 4 of Florence, one of the most populous districts of the city, in the presence of the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella, Of Sara Funaro, Councilor for Welfare of the Municipality, of Lucia and Alberto Giovanni Aleotti, president and vice president of the Menarini pharmaceutical group.

The commitment of the pharmaceutical company has been confirmed for the third consecutive year, the apartments renovated in total by Menarini amount to 30 apartments, which have surfaces ranging from 50 to 70 square meters each, and have therefore been assigned to small and medium-sized, for months waiting for a comfortable roof for their loved ones.
The project, in collaboration with Casa spa (manager of public residential buildings in the Florentine area) planned renovation works that lasted a few months, with the restoration of electrical, mechanical and thermo-sanitary systems, the replacement of cladding in the kitchens and bathrooms, and the overhaul and replacement of the windows of these 10 apartments, located in districts 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the city of Florence. The recipients of these houses are some Florentine families in difficulty, burdened by problems of unemployment and/or social hardship.

We are well aware that there is still a lot to do but also that, thanks to this collaboration between the public and private sectors, we are starting to give the answers that citizens expect. We have an ambitious plan for the house: a total of 800 lodgings between social housing and social housing. Now we are ready to allocate another 4 million euros: for us the house is a priority».
