From Bollywood Tanovi„ chooses the young star Emraan Hashmi to entrust him with the role of the protagonist Ayan, a drug informant fresh from marriage and with a great desire to expand the family. However, he manages to place few products: in Pakistan the market is dominated by Western branded products, so to get the business off the ground he will try his luck with the powdered milk multinational Lasta. The social climb seems to have begun, until he discovers that the product will represent a cause of death for babies. First making him scorched earth then threatening his wife and children, the powers that be will try to shut him up, but Ayan will challenge the system, in an unequal fight like David with Goliath.
Recalling the scandals of the 70s in the incipit, the film, co-written by Tanovi„ with Andy Paterson, explores the mechanisms of the hegemony of multinationals by analyzing with a clear vein of indignation the powerful marketing system made up of dinners with paediatricians, conferences on nutrition, sponsorships, gifts to doctors and assistants, presentations to the right people, and it does so by scratching at several moments, from the American-style recruitment scene of new hires, called to roar precisely like tigers, to the struggle to grab hold of Triple "A" doctors, those with many patients, up to the clear reference to Nestlè. "It is a story that has more to do with Pakistan - explained Tanovi" - but since that is not a very friendly place to shoot we moved to the border of India". In the cast, also the former Bondgirl Maryam d'Abo and Danny Huston, these days on the screens also with "Big Eyes" by Tim Burton.

NB.: Scientific informants of the drug are continually defamed and blamed even for faults that are not theirs. It is useful to remember that powdered milk for babies IS NOT A DRUG and the trade representatives of the sector, wherever they are, evidently are not Drug Representatives.
