Yet another dismissal procedure in Johnson & Johnson Medical Spa of Pomezia
"The company which has over 700 employees at its Pomezia site and is organized into various Divisions (Biosense Webster, Cerenovus, DePuy Synthes, Ethicon, Mentor and Vision Care) continues to lay off": write the local secretariats of Filctem, Femca, Uiltec of Lazio.
“Date on 27 March – they continue – there was no agreement on the collective dismissal procedure opened by the company for 31 people in the face of a global reorganization that comes from the parent company. These further layoffs follow another procedure that closed about 6 months ago, in the face of activities and workloads that continue to grow, making the quality of life/work of the remaining workers truly unsustainable.
Johnson & Johnson Medical workers no longer hold to what has always been the so-called corporate “creed” that: The workplace should give them a sense of security, purpose and fulfillment. Johnson & Johnson Medical Spa is a company in which the employees have always believed and to which they have always given their utmost commitment, a company with a growing turnover, which makes profits, cannot deny its employees a solution other than dismissal! ”.
At the end of the trade union meeting, the Territorial and Regional Secretariats of Filctem, Femca and Uiltec declared a state of agitation and the blocking of overtime, urging the company to apply those principles of social responsibility which publicly inspire it. The negotiation will continue with the interlocution of the Lazio Region at the table.
