In Germany, the federal drug regulatory authority has taken 80 generic pharmaceutical products from 16 companies off the market. This was announced by the same authority, motivating the decision with the recent scandal involving an Indian company responsible for the quality control of medicines, which turned out to be inadequate.
Among the withdrawn generics are drugs for high blood pressure, migraine and depression. According to reports, at the moment there are no indications on any dangers for the population.
