A resolution was filed with the VI Health Commission of the Sicily Region concerning the "appropriate initiatives aimed at guaranteeing an adequate performance of the professional activity carried out by drug sales representatives (ISF)“.
The resolution was born from the fact that many regional health structures prevent access to Scientific Representatives despite the regional provisions that allowed it.
Today there was a hearing in the Commission of the President of the AIISF Section of Palermo, Loreta Passafiume, representing Fedaiisf to which it is federated, who reported to the commissioners that most of the health departments in Sicily continue to ignore the aforementioned provisions of the regional administration, preventing the normal performance of the work of thousands of scientific representatives of the drug regularly vaccinated in the first risk range.
The resolution, which we report below, will be put to the vote in the session on Tuesday 22 June.

THE COMMISSION VI Health, Social and Health Services
GIVEN the update note on the regulation of access to hospital outpatient facilities of the regional health service and issued on 06/09/2020, protocol n.21519, by the General Manager of Dasoe, Dr.ssa Di Liberti, and by the General Manager DPS Ing Mario La Rocca with which the ban on access to medical representatives of the drug to hospital and outpatient facilities was revoked from 15/06/2020.
CONSIDERING that in fact, to date, most of the health departments in Sicily continue to ignore the aforementioned provisions of the regional administration, preventing the normal performance of the work of thousands of scientific representatives of the drug regularly vaccinated in the first risk range.
NOTING that in various regions, including Lombardy and Campania, to mention the most recent, precise provisions and/or specific protocols have been issued to facilitate the professional activity of the ISFs and in this sense urging the health structures to welcome the Scientific Representatives at Inside their premises in full compliance with anti-COVID regulations.
STRESSED that the restoration of normal working conditions for drug sales representatives has a dual function: relating to the right recognition and respect for the professional category that works in the interest of public health (Legislative Decree 219/2006 art. 122 - paragraphs 2b and 6 - ) and, moreover, that of safeguarding jobs seriously compromised by these restrictions and in consideration of the forthcoming unblocking of layoffs which should be operational starting from July 1st.
COMMITS THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REGION
to put in place suitable and timely measures aimed at complying with the aforementioned provisions already issued but remained largely unapplied and at the same time to intervene, where necessary, with further and more appropriate initiatives at the health departments in order to guarantee an adequate performance of the activity exercised by drug sales representatives (ISF).
