BASEL – The pharmaceutical group Novartis and the American company Microsoft have entered into a collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence.
The alliance envisages a multi-year commitment to research and development, a strategic collaboration which – explains the Basel giant in today's press release – leads to the creation of a laboratory (Novartis Ai Innovation Lab).
"Combining our deep understanding of human biology and medicine with Microsoft's unique capabilities in artificial intelligence will enable us to transform the way we discover and develop medicines for patients around the world," said CEO Vas Narasimhan, mentioned in the note.
