“Adhesion to the agitation and participation in the garrison were very important – writes the union -. In fact, there is a lot of concern among the staff (in all, about 280 workers) because the industrial strategies and choices to give stability and development to the Reggello site are not clear, also and above all with regard to the production volumes that are today slowly and continuously decreasing.
Business plans have been presented that contradict each other, with forecasts and requests for additional shifts in the total absence of objective requirements in terms of volumes. "At the same time - continues the note - a list of proposals was presented to cut second-level bargaining (for an expected saving of 1 million euros) but a clear analysis of the production cycle, necessary for identifying of any inefficiencies or which justifies the request for the requested cuts.
Despite this, Rsu and trade unions have made themselves available to undertake the path of "working groups", with the shared objective of seeking savings and optimizing waste in line with the desire to bring Istituto de Angeli back to being competitive on the market " .
The unions and the Rsu, after the success of today's struggle initiative which demonstrates how the workers feel the concerns expressed by the union, "will ask the Region to urgently convene the crisis unit table on the dispute to finally know the intentions of the company on the Reggello plant: clarity is urgently needed".
