The agreement between the trade unions and Abbvie of Aprilia Campoverde has made it possible to reduce the number of redundancies from 27 to 22 scientific informants in possession of the pension requirements, volunteers willing to leave the company spontaneously on incentive. Cecere (Femca): «We want to hinder the idea that companies are pursuing, of the informant as a commercial agent rather than a professional who supports doctors and therefore patients».
According to the company, the need to reduce personnel would derive in part from the expiry of the patents of some drugs which would significantly reduce profits and in part from the rationalization of hospital pharmaceutical expenditure which negatively affected the company's revenues.

after theannouncement of 27 science whistleblower firings by ABBVIE in the Campoverde plant and the proclamation of one 16-hour strike by the trade unions, it has come to a deal between company and workers. The redundancies have been confirmed, but they drop to 22: “The selection criteria for employees to be redeployed – explains Femca Cisl – concerno people in possession of the pension requirements, volunteers willing to leave the company voluntarily on incentive, the contractual novation if the organizational conditions exist and, only if it does not reach the envisaged number, by resorting to the criteria of the law. Redundancy incentives have been provided for volunteers which will cover around 5 years' salary. It has been foreseen for all those who will leave their jobs a mandatory outplacement path, tent by companies in the sector with the task of seeking solutions for reintegration into work for those who lose their jobs”.
A half victory, therefore, for the unions: “we managed to closeand in a dignified way an agreement that was presented, right from the start, rather complicated due to the rigidities put in place by the company – comments Roberto Cecere Secretary General of the Femca Cisl of Latina -. The united front of the workers and the union has made it possible to keep the point, and to ensure that the company assumes its responsibilities ".
