China: bribes for drugs, Glaxo manager accused

 Beijing, May 14. – Chinese police have charged 46 people over bribes worth hundreds of millions of euros that British pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) allegedly paid Chinese doctors and hospitals to get them to prescribe their medicines to patients. It is the result of ten months of investigators in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. According to reports by the Xinhua agency, among the accused is Mark Reilly, who has headed the Chinese division of the pharmaceutical group since 2009.
