The Ugl Chimici has signed the agreement for the renewal of the chemical and pharmaceutical chemical collective bargaining agreement".
This was announced by the national secretary of Ugl Chimici, Luigi Ulgiati, at the end of the negotiations between trade unions, Federchimica and Farmindustria, which took place today at Confindustria in Rome.
"An important and avant-garde agreement - he continues -, with which for the first time the guidelines of the inter-confederal agreement of 28 June 2011, ratified the following 21 September, are implemented. The aim is to create the conditions to promote productivity and employment, focusing on second-level and company bargaining as the most appropriate tool for responding to the specific needs of the various production contexts and without prejudice to the basic guarantees provided by the national contract".
"With the agreement - explains Ulgiati - we get a good salary increase, equal on average to 148 euros: 10 euros to recover the differential on the Ipca index of the previous contract plus 138 euros distributed in 4 tranches. Added to this are increases on the fixed-rate night shift allowances, equal to 3 euros".
"The focus is then - continues the trade unionist - on participation, which is the keystone of the system based on second-level bargaining, with the introduction of a special Study Commission; on apprenticeship, and the possibility of changes to the contractual rules is also introduced, in order to favor employment. Just as the use of the 'generational bridge' is envisaged, to promote the entry of young people to replace the older ones who leave the world of work. In terms of welfare - he continues -, there is an increase the contribution to be paid by companies to the Fonchim, the supplementary pension fund, is 0.2 percent, while for the health care provided with the Faschim, it is envisaged that it will be extended to new hires with at least 6 months of seniority".
"Other equally fundamental aspects, such as harmonization with the new labor regulations, training, bilateral bodies and occupational safety – concludes the trade unionist – will be further explored and developed later in the context of contractual validity".
