Astrazeneca has appointed Pascal Soriot, former chief financial officer of Roche, as chief executive officer of the group. Soriot, 53, will take up his position at the British biopharmaceutical company from October 1, taking over from David Brennan in June. Interim Chief Executive Officer Simon Lowth will resume his post as Chief Financial Officer of Astrazeneca.
