These are the numbers of the investigation by the Nas carabinieri of Naples which this morning led to the execution of 11 precautionary measures (of which 7 house arrest and 4 obligations to present themselves to the Judicial Police) issued by the Gip of the Court of Naples Marcella Suma. Starting from the thefts of numerous blank medical prescription books, carried out to the detriment of general practitioners of the NA/1 Centre, NA/2 North and Naples/3 South local health authorities, they have in fact made it possible to identify a criminal association made up of various mainly in the provinces of Naples, Caserta and Salerno, involved in committing thefts/robberies and receiving medical prescriptions (30,000 in the two-year period 2009-2010).
These recipes, the Nas explain, were falsified by affixing stamps and signatures of unwitting doctors and personal data of unsuspecting patients (sometimes found to be deceased) and were subsequently presented to various pharmacies (which allegedly requested reimbursement by the competent local health authority). for the supply of expensive medicines.
The drugs then, after being stored in a clandestine warehouse lacking the necessary hygienic-sanitary requirements, were destined to be placed on the international market through a distribution chain made up of affiliates aware of the nature of the products treated.
"The numerous findings obtained during the investigative activity - adds the note from the Nas - showed that within the organization the various subjects involved covered different, well-defined roles, distinguishing themselves between fences, recipe pushers and fixers of various types ”.
