Organized by the Hon. Scilipoti, a deputy from Messina who has taken the social and professional affairs of the ISF to heart, last March a meeting was held at Palazzo Marini entitled "Citizen health and scientific information. Disregarded laws and anomalous use of social safety nets”. Meeting in which I had the pleasure of participating by reporting on the recent trade union events which have seen yet another mockery of the major trade unions at the expense of workers and of the ISF in particular. The signing of the new CCNL for chemists, in fact, marked further steps backwards in the trade union protections of workers, and of the ISF in particular, as we have already had the opportunity to write in recent weeks.
During the work of the conference, a Parliamentary Question was finalized on the specious transfers of company branches which involved thousands of ISFs, and which the Honorable Scilipoti presented to the Chamber of Deputies in the following days. A further bill has also been formulated to protect the professional category of the ISF which sees a new legislative focus on the problems that we are forced to face in recent times. Another result produced by the work of that day was the realization of a journalistic report which was published on the Friday of the Republic last April 23rd.
In the following days, under the aegis of the Hon. Scilipoti himself, an ISF committee was set up which, representing colleagues from all over Italy, met on 27 April in Rome in the premises of the Chamber of Deputies together with the leaders of the Associations National Representatives of Pharmaceuticals, Aiisf and Federisf. This committee has created a “Forums” to be able to present ourselves to interlocutors with a single voice and give more strength to our requests, asking for the respect and attention that are due to a category of workers who carry out a task of great social importance, and to whom the NHS itself asks to collaborate with proposals and suggestions for a better organization of the health management system in our country.
We now ask all our colleagues to tangibly show solidarity with the effort of those who bear the commitment of this new phase on their shoulders, which sees us involved on all fronts: legal, trade union, political, associative, social.
Now we need everyone more than ever.
