The Investment Desk of ICE in New York participates with a delegation of three Italian companies in the Bio CEO & Investor Conference, one of the most important meetings and partnerships in the biotechnology sector. The event is attended by over 150 companies, many of which are listed on the stock exchange, who have the opportunity to present their business plans to investment bank analysts, private equity funds and venture capitalists who will be attending. More than 2,000 participants were registered at the last edition of the Conference, including 1,000 investors. Investors participating in the CEO Bio this year include Pacific Growth Equities, Rodman & Renshaw, Cowen & Company, OrbiMed and many more. One of ICE's objectives is to attract the interest of US investors in Italy and in the Italian companies that will participate in the Conference, two of which, Molmed and Newron, are listed on the stock exchange. The third company, Siena Biotech, is a company focused on researching new treatments for diseases such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's disease and brain tumours. A fourth Italian company is also taking part in the Conference, Abiogen Pharma, of Pisa, which recently set up Galileo Oncologics which, in partnership with the Southwestern Medical Center of the University of Texas and the Wistar Institute of Philadelphia, will conduct research and development for the treatment of cancer.
