The Lazio Region changes the rules for medical prescriptions and with the approval of a resolution invites doctors to mark the active ingredient and no longer the name of the drug on the prescription.
«Finally a serious measure», comments the national secretary of the Codes, Ivano Giacomelli, «generics are drugs containing the same active ingredient as branded drugs, with minimal differences established by law and thanks to the lower price, they would be able to bring considerable savings to the state coffers».
