"This provision - the note specifies - does not intend to alter the current distinction of responsibilities between doctors and pharmacists, but only to meet the needs of patients, in cases of extraordinary urgency, when it is impossible for them to obtain a prescription".
«CLOSE» TO GADGETS FOR DOCTORS – Other measures are also specified in the text, including greater control over the trials of vending machines for medicines, more skills and responsibilities for the pharmacists of the new points of sale and a squeeze on the gadgets of pharmaceutical companies for doctors. «The new intervention – says the Ministry of Health – was necessary for various reasons. To adjust some provisions to the recent innovations in the field of public sale of medicines and wholesale distribution of medicines, introduced by the so-called "Bersanì decree" of last July. But also to put an end to some Community infringement procedures in the medicines sector and resolve some issues that emerged in the first months of application of Legislative Decree 219/2006".
