1978/2008. Thirty years of public health
Law 833, law 194, law 180. Three of the most important provisions of the Italian health system are 30 years old. In this special (taken from the 13-2008 issue of Il Bisturi) we celebrate them by publishing the speeches by Giovanni Berlinguer, Massimo Cozza, Cesare Cursi, Nicola Falcitelli, Ignazio Marino and Livia Turco, who underline the great value of universalism, equity of assistance and civil rights that the introduction of these measures brought to our country, and which still produces health today. Even if the NHS still has many challenges to overcome.
