Drug Shortages: Single-Institution Policy Offers Guidance

September 24, 2012 — A medication shortage policy has been found to be fair and effective after 1 year of use at a large medical center. The policy was developed to help clinicians, hospitals, and pharmacies cope with medication shortages, which have become increasingly common in recent years.
